eIQnetworks Achieves Record Market Growth in 2006

Significant customer and partner momentum reaches over 2,100 deployments worldwide and drives triple-digit revenue growth

ACTON, Mass. – January 16, 2007  – eIQnetworks®,Inc., a global provider of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions, today announced dramatic expansion of its market presence in 2006. The impressive growth, based on the success of eIQnetworks’ award-winning Enterprise Security Analyzer (ESA) and significant partner momentum, resulted in a 100% increase in revenues and a 40% increase in enterprise customers, reaching a key milestone of over 2,100 deployments worldwide.

Driven by the need to meet demanding security intelligence and compliance requirements, some of the world’s leading enterprises, governments and managed security service providers (MSSPs) deployed eIQnetworks’ comprehensive, easy-to-use and cost-effective ESA solution in 2006, including Accenture, Avaya, Celgene, Department of Homeland Security, Iron Mountain, Mizuho Bank, Singapore Telecom, State of Florida, State of Rhode Island, Telecom Italia and The New York Times.

“Organizations today are faced with the task of combating complex security threats and meeting regulatory compliance requirements across the entire IT infrastructure,” said Vijay Basani, CEO and co-founder of eIQnetworks. “The phenomenal success of Enterprise Security Analyzer in 2006 underscores its unique ability to quickly and cost-effectively help enterprises centrally manage information risk and proactively meet security and compliance mandates across broad, heterogeneous enterprise networks.”

Already a stronghold, eIQnetworks gained further substantial traction in the strategic partnerships arena with the addition of seven new OEMs – Clavister, Huawei-3COM, Mirapoint, Nitro Security, Piolink, Sanmina-SCI and Top Layer Networks. This growth more than doubled its existing OEM relationships with Astaro, Fortinet, NEC and Secure Computing, among others. eIQnetworks also added several new MSSP partners, including British Telecom, Nuspire Networks and RackSpace as well as an additional VAR, Comstor, a division of Westcon Group, Inc., in Europe.

“As an MSSP, it’s critical that we are able to quickly and easily deploy profitable managed services for our customers,” said Saylor Frase, president of Nuspire Networks. “eIQnetworks’ Enterprise Security Analyzer is the only SIEM solution that allows us to combine robust, high-end compliance tools, customized, real-time reporting and robust forensics capabilities with ease-of-deployment at a practical price point.”

eIQnetworks also expanded interoperability certifications and became a preferred security alliance member of Juniper Networks, Inc. J-Partner Solutions Alliances program. This is in addition to continued status as a Cisco Technology Development Partner and OPSEC™ (Open Platform for Security) certification from Check Point Software Technologies.

Also on the partner front, eIQnetworks introduced a comprehensive security certification program to provide VARs and MSSPs with sales and technical training for the ESA solution.

Furthermore, the most recent Forrester Wave™: Enterprise Security Information Management Q4 2006 report by Forrester Research, an independent technology and market research company, ranked eIQnetworks among the top three vendors, out of 11 total, for market presence, based on criteria such as installed base, revenue growth and number of technology partners.

“Until about 18 months ago, eIQnetworks played primarily in the small- and medium-sized business market but now boasts a bevy of enterprise customers and large-scale deployments for security information management,” wrote Paul Stamp, senior analyst at Forrester Research, in the report. “eIQnetworks’ Enterprise Security Analyzer solution is quick to deploy, easy to use…Customers tell us they can receive measurable results from the system in a matter of days. Also, the price tag makes the initial investment more palatable than many of its competitors.”

In 2006, eIQnetworks also garnered industry acclaim by leading technology publications, including two awards from Info Security Product Guide: “Hot Company of the Year” in the SIEM category for the largest number of OEM partnerships and international presence and winner of the “Global Product Excellence - Customer Trust Award” in the “event management” category. Computer Reseller News also declared ESA a “Test Center Recommended” product, the publication’s highest test rating.
