ACTON, Mass. and SAN FRANCISCO, September 18, 2007
– eIQnetworks®, Inc.,
a
global provider of next-generation security information
management (SIM) solutions, and CITTIO, the innovation leader
in automated network and systems monitoring software, today
announced an OEM agreement in which eIQ’s SecureVue™ solution
for managing security, risk and compliance across the
enterprise will be offered as a fully integrated module of the
CITTIO WatchTower® platform. The combined offering enables
customers to prevent costly downtime while simultaneously
safeguarding their important business assets.
Sold under the CITTIO brand, the tightly integrated solution
is designed to break down the traditional silos within
organizations by unifying log, vulnerability, configuration,
asset, performance and NetFlow data. This end-to-end
correlation fosters close collaboration between the NOC (Network Operations Center), the SOC
(Security Operations
Center) and compliance teams. As a result, organizations are
able to better monitor and manage availability, security, risk
and compliance across the enterprise.
“Today, network management teams need to manage and understand
network-related issues across silos such as servers, storage,
security, databases and applications. They need to manage
complex and dynamic IP networks to connect customers, vendors
and employees,” wrote Evelyn Hubbert in “The Network
Management Software Market” report, (Forrester Research, Inc.,
June 6, 2007). “Network traffic monitoring needs to be tied to
security management so that early detection of threats leads
to proactive actions rather than front-line news.”
Enterprises, particularly in the financial services,
healthcare and retail markets as well as government
organizations, will benefit greatly from the automated network
and systems monitoring expertise of CITTIO coupled with eIQ’s
ability to centralize security and compliance operations. The
integrated offering allows customers to proactively detect and
monitor all network devices, systems and applications, while
taking advantage of security management, data archival,
reporting and forensics capabilities that meet stringent audit
requirements for compliance mandates, such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley
Act (GLBA), the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act (HIPAA), Payment Card Industry (PCI) and
Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
“Adding SecureVue to the CITTIO WatchTower platform provides
CITTIO customers with the capabilities they need to
successfully monitor their network while safeguarding against
ever increasing security threats and evolving regulations,”
said John Sullivan, senior vice president of field operations
at eIQnetworks. “Our combined offering unites more effective
availability with security and risk and compliance management,
making it easier for organizations to meet even the most
rigorous audit requirements.”
“By partnering with eIQ, we are able to provide our customers
with an integrated solution connecting the NOC with the SOC to
proactively monitor an enterprise’s entire IT infrastructure
and support compliance requirements,” said Jim Smith, vice
president, business development, CITTIO. “The combination of
eIQ’s SecureVue with CITTIO WatchTower offers customers a
comprehensive systems, network and security platform that
unifies log, vulnerability, configuration, asset, performance,
availability and NetFlow data all in one solution.”
eIQ’s SecureVue is available immediately as an integrated
add-on module to the CITTIO WatchTower platform. For more
