eIQnetworks Expands Sales and Marketing Team to Lead Focus on Enterprise IT Risk Management

Top enterprise sales executive John Sullivan joins eIQ to drive sales of newly released SecureVue IT risk management platform

Acton, Mass. – February 13, 2007 – eIQnetworks®, Inc., a global provider of the only IT risk management platform to unify risk, security and compliance, today announced the hiring of key executives to drive the company’s enterprise sales and marketing initiatives around SecureVue™, the industry’s first integrated IT risk management platform. At the center of this expansion is experienced enterprise software executive, John Sullivan, who has joined eIQ as senior vice president, field operations.

“Our decision to hire John Sullivan, and to build out our enterprise sales and marketing team, is part of a concerted, strategic move to drive customer adoption and meet the demands of the emerging IT risk management space,” said Vijay Basani, CEO of eIQnetworks. “eIQ is the first vendor to deliver a comprehensive IT risk management platform, and in order to translate this technical leadership into sales, it’s critical to establish a team with a proven history of success in selling enterprise-class software.”

Sullivan has over 20 years of leadership experience in enterprise software sales. Prior to joining eIQ, he was vice president of worldwide sales at Segue Software, a global provider of software quality and testing solutions, where he oversaw rapid license revenue growth until its recent acquisition by Borland Software Corporation. Before Segue, John was vice president of worldwide sales at leading information security and compliance company, Pedestal Software, which was acquired for $65 million by Altiris, Inc. Earlier in his career, Sullivan was vice president of sales at RSW Software, a Teradyne company, where he led the sales organization from start-up mode through the acquisition that formed software testing and management leader, Empirix.

“My extensive sales background with leading IT security companies has given me direct insight into enterprise security needs,” said Sullivan. “With SecureVue, I see an enormous market opportunity to finally provide companies with a solution that bridges the gap between IT silos to provide a comprehensive, cost-efficient view of the overall IT risk landscape.”

In addition to Sullivan, eIQ has hired Rob Aragao as director of systems engineering and services and Tracy Courtemanche as director of marketing, as well as an enterprise-focused field sales team that is geographically distributed throughout the country.

Aragao has over ten years of experience in the IT industry, working with Fortune 1000 companies and the federal government. Prior to joining eIQ, he was an integral part of Pedestal Software’s success. After Pedestal’s acquisition by Altiris, Aragao led the worldwide Security Management division. Prior to Altiris, he held various leadership roles with Genuity, a leading managed services provider, and global outsourcing company, Stream International.

Courtemanche has a proven, fifteen-year track record in the strategic planning and execution of global marketing and communication programs for technology organizations. Most notably, Courtemanche served as director of marketing for Mirror Image Internet and held various key positions within the Large Enterprise and Business Networks Marketing groups at 3Com Corporation. In these roles, she managed multi-million dollar budgets, generated over $4 million in sales implementing competitive trade-up and demand generation programs, spearheaded re-branding initiatives and streamlined marketing costs, which resulted in a 54% departmental savings.

eIQnetworks’ newly available SecureVue integrated IT risk management platform unifies Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), asset, configuration, performance and vulnerability data. By consolidating, correlating, analyzing and presenting information from these five traditionally disparate IT silos, SecureVue enables enterprises to gain insight into the overall risk, security and compliance posture so that they can cost-effectively minimize risk, improve operations efficiency, meet compliance mandates and implement security best practices.
