Acton, MA,
USA and Tokyo, Japan – April 30, 2007 – eIQnetworks®, Inc.,a
global provider of next-generation security information management (SIM)
solutions, and Integrated Systems Technologies (IST), a leading
distributor of networking and security solutions in Japan, today announced
that IST is marketing and selling a localized version of eIQ’s award-winning
Enterprise Security Analyzer (ESA) SIM solution – ESA-J – to help Japanese
companies cost-effectively implement security operations that comply with J-SOX
regulations.
As a result
of the Financial Service Agency of Japan’s recommendation that the securing
of systems requires internal and external access management, IST has
partnered with eIQ to employ ESA-J as its sole SIM offering. ESA-J, which
has been translated into a Japanese user interface, enables companies to
ensure compliance by providing auditors with the ability to easily search
log archives and access comprehensive reports.
“Japanese
companies are facing increasingly complex IT security environments and new
regulations such as J-SOX,” said Hirokazu Ueda, chairman and CEO at
Integrated Systems Technologies. “We standardized on eIQ’s ESA because it is
the only SIM solution that delivers all of the tools necessary to help our
customers and partners meet these challenges.”
ESA-J
combines the following functionality into a single solution to provide
essential security intelligence that improves operations and meets evolving
compliance requirements:
- Centralized Log Management: Automatically
collects, aggregates, compresses, encrypts and archives log data from
thousands of heterogeneous, multi-vendor network devices, servers and
applications;
- Topology-Based Threat Visualization: Provides
the ability to immediately gain visibility into the security posture of
the network;
- Real-Time Monitoring and Alerting: Correlates
and monitors security event data across the enterprise in real time to
proactively reduce false positives and identify security breaches;
- Comprehensive Reporting: Delivers over 1,200
easy-to-read security and activity reports to provide insight into the
state of the network; and
- Forensics Analysis: Provides the ability
search volumes of archived and current log data to find root cause of
security breaches and ensure compliance.
“Our partnership with IST represents eIQ’s continued focus on expanding our
global distribution channel to reach markets like Japan that face complex
security requirements,” said Vijay Basani, chief executive officer at
eIQnetworks. “ESA-J provides a powerful, scalable SIM solution that will
help IST grow its business by enabling customers to build effective security
best practices and meet new regulations like J-SOX.”
ESA-J Product Availability
IST is currently marketing and selling ESA-J to Japanese public companies, service
providers and system integrators. Pricing starts at ¥3,600,000 and includes
the management of 10 devices. Installation services start at ¥400,000/day.
