ACTON, Mass. – November 19, 2007 – eIQnetworks®,
Inc., a global provider of integrated security, risk and audit management
solutions, today announced that it has joined the PCI Security Standards
Council as a Participating Organization. eIQ will work with the Council to
evolve the PCI Data Security Standard (DSS) and other payment card data
protection standards.
The PCI DSS, endorsed by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB,
MasterCard Worldwide and Visa Inc., requires merchants and service providers
that store, process or transmit customer payment card data to adhere to
information security controls and processes that ensure data security.
“The PCI Security Standards Council is committed to helping everyone
involved in the payment chain protect consumer payment data,” said Bob
Russo, general manager of the PCI Security Standards Council. “By
participating in the standards-setting process, eIQ demonstrates that it is
playing an active part in this important end goal.”
As a Participating Organization, eIQ will be able to access the latest
payment card security standards from the Council, provide feedback on the
standards and become part of a growing community that includes more than 340
organizations.
Rapidly evolving regulatory and industry mandates, including PCI DSS, now
require organizations to prove the security of their networks by collecting
and monitoring large volumes of data from a broad range of devices, servers
and applications. eIQ’s flagship SecureVue® solution combines and correlates
previously disparate IT data silos by integrating next-generation security
information management (SIM) and governance, risk and compliance (GRC) audit
management into a single platform, resulting in more efficient and effective
IT assurance.
“As a technology vendor at the forefront of security, risk and audit
management, helping our customers protect critical data and meet stringent
regulatory mandates such as PCI DSS is a top priority,” said Vijay Basani,
CEO and founder of eIQnetworks. “Participation in the PCI Security Standards
Council will allow eIQ to deliver the benefits of advanced industry
collaboration to customers and provide insight into end-user compliance
challenges to help shape standards as they evolve.”
eIQ’s SecureVue platform is being used by numerous Global 2000 organizations
– across the banking, financial, government, healthcare, managed security
service provider, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, publishing, retail and
telecommunications markets – to help meet compliance mandates, including PCI
DSS.
