eIQnetworks' SecureVue Added to DoD Unified Capabilities
Approved Products List (UC APL)
SecureVue is First Situational Awareness and Risk Management Platform to Correlate, Analyze and Report on All Data to Combat Cyber Attacks and Insider Threats
Acton, Mass. – Feb. 22, 2011 – eIQnetworks®, Inc., a leading provider of unified situational awareness solutions, today announced eIQ's SecureVue®, the industry's first unified situational awareness platform, has been approved for inclusion on the Department of Defense (DoD) Unified Capabilities Approved Product List (UC APL) by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). As a result, DoD agencies can now confidently use a solution that is certified by DISA to fight against cyber attacks and insider threats as well as comply with regulations such as NIST 800-53, FISMA and DISA STIGs while realizing significant cost savings through operational efficiency and enterprise-wide visibility.
The purpose of UC APL is to maintain a single consolidated list of products that have completed Interoperability (IO) and Information Assurance (IA) certification by DISA for all DoD network infrastructures. SecureVue successfully passed all of the IO and IA tests required to approve a product for use across the entire DoD network. Tests included: (i) FIPS 140-2, Security Level 2 with Design Assurance Security Level 3, (ii) CAC DoD PKI integration for secure access and authentication, (iii) NIAP CC EAL 2+ in process, (iv) IPv6 Capable, (v) Favourable TIC lab evaluation for interoperability testing where applicable for mandated DoD wide tools, Army Enterprise Management/NetOPS capabilities, Army Gold Master.
DoD agencies must purchase approved products where one of the listed products meets their needs. SecureVue is the only platform that enables organizations to identify complex modern multi-faceted cyber threats like Stuxnet and WikiLeaks-style breaches as they occur and take action at that time.
"This certification demonstrates that both our technology and our approach - delivering unified situational awareness - stands up to, arguably, the most rigorous testing of all," commented Vijay Basani, president and CEO, eIQnetworks. "We are delighted that with this certification, DoD and intelligence agencies can now procure the leading unified situational awareness platform that unifies real-time security monitoring with continuous secure system auditing to proactively detect cyber attacks and insider threats while improving compliance posture against NIST 800-53, FISMA and DISA STIGs."
eIQ's SecureVue is the only unified situational awareness platform that collects, analyzes and correlates all security and compliance data including log/events, configuration, asset, performance, vulnerability, netflow and compliance data from all sources, including network devices, security devices, servers and applications. As such, SecureVue provides an in-depth view of an organization’s security position via a single console through comprehensive, real-time security monitoring, compliance automation, configuration auditing and forensic analysis. With its intelligent security and industry-leading single management console approach, SecureVue reduces complexity and minimizes the effort and operational overhead required to manage security and compliance. In addition to helping defense, intelligence and civilian agencies, SecureVue helps to protect the networks of a host of Fortune 2000 organizations in the financial, telecommunications, retail and healthcare industries from an increasing range of modern cyber attacks.
In addition to the DISA certification, SecureVue maintains other government certifications including the U.S. Army's Certificate of Networthiness (CoN), NIST's FIPS 140-2 and is in process for Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and in process for NSA’s NIAP Common Criteria EAL 2+ certification.
