SIEM is DEAD

Sony, Citibank, Toshiba, the IMF, even the United States Senate… all over the United States and throughout the world, organizations of all types and sizes are seeing an unprecedented increase in the number and scope of attacks and – in some cases – significant loss of critical customer and business data.

What can organizations do to detect and stem the tide of threats from malware, outside attackers, and malicious insiders, while still ensuring their day-to-day business and operations?  Historically, organizations have relied on point products such as log management and SIEM to monitor one very specific type of security information (in that case, event-based information only).  Unfortunately, as we’ve seen time and time again, organizations need a new – and better – approach to detecting real-time threats than what SIEM can provide.

That's why we believe that log management and SIEM products, as an effective way to protect large distributed networks against today's advanced persistent threats and demonstrate compliance with regulatory mandates, is DEAD.  It's also why some of the largest commercial organizations as well as Federal agencies and Armed Forces are selecting SecureVue® - the first and only Unified Situational Awareness platform.
